I was proud to host the 97th Legislative District Salute to Veterans Weekend over the Memorial Day Weekend. During the events, we honored the sacrifice and service of over 1,000 area veterans. I would like to thank former WGAL anchorman Dick Hoxworth for being the events emcee, the Valley Forge Military Academy Marching Band, American Legion, Garden Spot Post 56, and the Lancaster Barnstormers for helping to make this event a tremendous success.  Featured units who returned this year were the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard and the VFW Color Guard of Lititz, Post 1463.
