Bear Calls for Open Contracting in Construction

Joined by construction workers and contractors, Rep. John C. Bear (R-Lancaster) and Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced new legislation at a press conference on September 29, 2009 that will end project labor agreements (PLAs) in Pennsylvania that reward unions with large contracts and serve only to drive up the cost of state projects, discriminating against approximately 80 percent of Pennsylvania construction workers.  Scroll below to view pictures from the event.
