Fourth Annual “Salute to Veterans” Weekend

Rep. John C. Bear, the Lancaster Barnstormers, veterans groups and local sponsors recently hosted the fourth annual Salute to Veterans Weekend on Thursday, May 26 at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

The on-field ceremony to honor veterans featured a stirring and patriotic pre-game show featuring the world-renowned Valley Forge Military Academy Regimental Band, the pipes and drums of the Washington Memorial Pipe Band, five elite color guards, and for the color guard from the Pennsylvania National Guard. Dick Hoxworth, a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired WGAL news anchor, emceed the event.
